    When was the last time you checked your water heater? It’s common to never do it. But stuff happens. Vents can come undone, leaks can develop that can rust it from the outside in. Drafting issues can also develop. And at least once a year, you should test the temperature/pressure relief valve. Work the shutoff valve at the same time. And change the sacrificial anode once every six years.
